We provide benefits for members of UFCW Union locals in Southern California employed in the Retail Drug Store Industry, health care fields and general service and retail businesses. Benefits are also provided to retirees and eligible dependents, approximately 25,000 participants in all.

Your Union and your Employer have collectively bargained for the benefits provided under these Plans. The Plans are primarily supported by Employer contributions as provided by these collective bargaining agreements. Contributions, until necessary to pay insurance premiums or benefits, are invested with the advice of professional investment counsel.

These Plans are governed by Boards of Trustees appointed by the participating Unions and Employers. The Trustees are responsible for managing the Funds under the terms of the Trust Agreements and the Collective Bargaining Agreements. In addition to investment counsel, the Boards of Trustees retain other professional advisors, such as an attorney, an actuary and an accountant, and also employ a salaried administrator and office staff to handle the day to day operations of the Funds.
